Accident prevention techniques such as failure minimization, fail-safe design insulation, lockouts, screening, personal protective equipment, redundancy and timely replacement are studied. In addition, the improvement of environmental working conditions is discussed.
Graphic Arts - Designed to provide the student with knowledge of the various techniques used in the printing industry (electronic pre-press, press work and post-press operation), the education is broad in scope with emphasis on wide background of experiences rather than mechanical skill.
Graphic Design Management - Designed to provide the student with the knowledge and ability to design print communications and perform the various techniques used in the printing industry, to be printed or used digitally. The program is broad in scope with emphasis on wide background of experiences rather than mechanical skill, and will equip graduates to work in management positions as supervisors, estimators, sales persons or production designers. Techniques covered include: Flexography - Photography, Direct-to-press - Digital Imaging, Offset Lithography - Design, Sign making - Color, Foil stamping - Typography, Die-cutting - Package Design, and Electronic file manipulation (all forms).
Industrial Technology Department - Bachelor of Science programs with specializations in Construction Management, Electro-Mechnical Technology, Electronics Technology, Environmental and Occupational Safety, Graphic Arts, Graphic Design Management, Manufacturing, Networking Technology, Networking and Quality Management. Master of Science in Industrial Technical Management - Provides students with academic experiences that enable them to develop and effectively direct productivitiy in business and industry.
Maufacturing Industrial Technology - Program which studies aspects of manufacturing and business strategies to prepare graduates to assume leadership roles in the management of advanced manufacturing technology.
Networking Technology - Prepares individuals to enter into the world of Information Technology dealing with computer hardware and software, and peripheral devices. Quality Management - Prepares students for a variety of Quality Management positions in manufacturing and service industries, by acquiring skills in quality control tools and techniques such as TQM, team building, auditing skills and SPC while developing a practical working knowledge of the various 9000 quality standards.
