Adirondack Mountain Club (ADK) - (NY) The Club, founded in 1922, is a member-directed organization committed to public service and stewardship. Albany Chapter, Adirondack Mountain Club, ADK - (NY) Organized October 13, 1922, the Chapter is a volunteer organization committed to outdoor recreation, advocacy, environmental education and natural resource conservation. Today, the membership numbers over 1,900, making it the largest ADK chapter. Their schedule is extensive and include outdoor land and water activities.

Chinese Mountain Club, New York City - (NY) A nonprofit outdoor organization founded in 1985 within the local Chinese community. With over 190 members, CMCNY organizes over 70 events each year. Hiking, biking, camping, skiing, backpacking, rock climbing, roller-blading, canoeing, trail work, and environmental education. Everyone is welcome.

Laurentian Chapter, Adirondack Mountain Club - (NY) Outdoor conservation; education; and activities including, hikes, backpacking, canoe trips, river rafting, mountain and road biking, cross-country skiing, and snowshoeing. Some outings focus on nature studies, regional or local history.
 
Mid-Hudson Chapter, Adirondack Mountain Club (ADK) - (NY) Activities include hikes, backpacking,(including the Adirondack High Peaks), canoeing, cross-country skiing and snowshoeing. Day trips usually conducted in the Catskills, Shawangunks, Taconics, Hudson Highlands and along the Hudson River. The Breakfree Program is a Chapter initiative to organize outings for urban youth. This program augments the chapter's work in conservation, education, and wilderness maintenance and recently received a grant from the United Way.
 
NY City Climbers Club - (NYC) New York's first and original (nonprofit) climbing wall started by dedicated climbers. Over 30 challenging routes plus the only "cave" in NYC. A great friendly community for climbers of all levels.
 
Nassau Hiking & Outdoor Club (NHOC) - A club with over 300 people who share an appreciation of the outdoors. Our activities include hiking, camping, walking, and bicycling. The club includes a singles group where adults of all ages can meet and mingle.
 
New York Chapter, Adirondack Mountain Club, ADK - (NY) The chapter maintains a rustic camp in Harriman State Park, Nawakwa, allowing for a variety of walks, hikes, swimming, canoeing, fishing, snowshoeing and cross-country skiing. Membership has special requirements, including sponsorship and completion of specified activities.
