100 Years of Science under ICES. Helsinki, Finland, August 1-4, 2000. - The International Council for the Exploration of the Sea (ICES), the world´s oldest intergovernmental marine science organization, will celebrate its Centenary in 2002. To commemorate this historic occasion, a number of activities, events, and celebrations have been commissioned by the Council to take place in that year and the preceding several years. One of the major events will be this Symposium.
