Faro, September 25-27, 2000. - Presentation and discussion of scientific papers in the following areas (amongst others): physical, geological, chemical and biological oceanographies, marine geophysics, hydrology, marine ecology, pollution, marine geology, geodesy, and marine resources.
4th International Marine Environmental Modeling Conference. Athens, October 4-6th, 2000. - A forum for scientists and representatives of industrial, environmental, and legislative organisations to achieve an understanding of the state of the art, and to exchange technical information on environmental modelling.
7th International Coastal Symposium, Northern Ireland, March 25-29, 2002 - a multi-disciplinary international symposium convened for scientists, engineers and managers to discuss the latest advances in the scientific understanding, engineering and environmental issues of coastal processes. The symposium provides a forum for the exchange of information and will provide the opportunity to visit some of the world famous coastal sites of Northern Ireland. Integral to the conference are a series of fieldtrips to coastal sites around this highly variable and scenic coastline. Symposium Themes include: Coastal Change (Quaternary to historical); Contemporary coastal processes; Coastal engineering and management; Coastal ecosystems.
9th Deep-Sea Biology Symposium, Galway, June 21-25, 2000. - The theme for the symposium is "The Deep Ocean Biosphere - Change and Sustainability" although papers and posters on any aspect of deep-sea organisms (from macro to micro) and ecosystems are welcome.
9th International Coral Reef Symposium. Bali, Indonesia, October 23-27, 2000 - An international forum for exchanging information and ideas and transfer of technologies and knowledge among researchers, managers, policy makers and other stakeholders in coral reefs.
Advances in Mathematical Modelling of Atmosphere and Ocean Dynamics. Limerick, Ireland, July 2-7, 2000 - This International Union of Theoretical and Applied Mechanics (IUTAM) Symposium aims to address the advances in modelling of atmosphere and ocean dynamics; to provide a forum where atmosphere and ocean scientists can present their latest research results and learn of progress and promising ideas in these allied disciplines; to facilitate interaction between theory and applications in atmosphere/ocean dynamics.
