Astro-1 Observatory - The Astro-1 Observatory was carried aboard the space shuttle Columbia on December 2-11, 1990. The instruments included three coaligned Ultraviolet (UV) telescopes [Hopkins Ultraviolet Telescope (HUT); Wisconsin Ultraviolet Photopolarimeter Experiment (WUPPE); and the Ultraviolet Imaging Telescope (UIT)] and an independent pointing X-ray telescope [Broad Band X-Ray Telescope (BBXRT)]. The Astro-1 Observatory yielded unique data on a wide variety of astrophysical topics ranging from the solar system to galaxies, quasars, and cosmology.

CU Sommers-Bausch Observatory - A general purpose ultraviolet observatory; offers views of the sun (visible, ultraviolet, x-ray), venus (ultraviolet), Jupiter's great red spot (infrared), and Saturn's aurora (ultraviolet).

Center for EUV Astrophysics - Includes information on the Extreme Ultraviolet Explorer, observations, and science resources. Also contains a link to the FTP directory for educational freeware from the University of California at Berkeley.

Dominion Astrophysical Observatory - As a national center for astronomical research based on observations at ultraviolet, optical and infrared wavelengths, the DAO offers programs both for the interested public and for visiting research scientists from other institutions.

FUSE: Far Ultraviolet Spectroscopic Explorer - NASA-supported astronomy mission that was launched on June 24, 1999, to explore the Universe using the technique of high-resolution spectroscopy in the far-ultraviolet spectral region.

Hopkins Ultraviolet Telescope - A project of Johns Hopkins University, HUT was conceived, designed, and built by astronomers and engineers at JHU to perform astronomical observations in the far-ultraviolet portion of the electromagnetic spectrum, wavelengths of light that are inaccessible to ground-based telescopes.

International Ultraviolet Explorer - The International Ultraviolet Explorer satellite (IUE) was a joint project between NASA, ESA and PPARC (formerly SERC). IUE was the longest and most productive astronomical space Observatory, the first general user UV space Observatory and the first astronomical observatory in high earth orbit.
