2nd Independent Company of Catalonian Volunteers - Spanish Soldiers in Colonial America, The 2nd Catalonians do Colonial Living History Reenactment of Spanish Colonial America, and are very good at it.
 
Anza 2000 - A dedication of one of the camping sites for the Anza expedition to found San Francisco, conducted in early 1999, hopefully in preparation for some 225th commeration festivities.
 
Calderon's Company - A 16th Century New World Garrison, is a group of living-historians based at De Soto National Memorial, in Bradenton, Florida. The organization is named after Captain Pedro Calderón, who was left in charge of the base camp and port, when Hernando de Soto began his entrada into La Florida in June of 1539.
 
Compañía de Cavallería del Real Presidio de San Antonio de Bexar - A group of living historians who portray first person impressions of the Presidio Soldados from San Antonio de Bexar. Very accurate uniforms and equipment.
 
Father Junípero Serra (Bruce Buonauro) - Bruce is an excellent reenactor, who does his impression for schools and like the wandering Padre, shows up throughout California at various events. This is a quick outline of what he does.
 
Galvez - Hector Diaz's original site on Marshall Bernardo de Gálvez. It's falling apart now, with broken links, but still has distinctive pictures and information.
 
Historic California Posts: Castillo de San Joaquin - This page is part of the more extensive site for the California Military Museum in Sacramento. The Castillo and it's Peruvian guns were part of the defenses of the Presidio of San Francisco. The overall site is framed, with a collection of original paintings, drawings and photographs from Spanish Colonial to modern times.
 
Historic Florida Militia - The HFM is an umbrella organization for Florida units like the Men of Menendez and the St. Augustine Garrison. This site contains pictures, contact information, meeting times, links to news stories and an event calendar.
 
La Purisima Mission - La Purisima Mission State Historic Park contains the eleventh of twenty-one Spanish Missions established in Alta California. This site shows off through some extensive picture tours (Java) the location and events of interest to Spanish Colonial reenactors, along with schedules of events.
 
La Segunda Compañía de las Californias en la Plaza del Reál Presidio de San Diego - Articles, Photos and Drawings related to the 18th Century Spanish Colonial Frontier Solidiers of the Royal Presidio of San Diego, Alta California. Extensive site with MIDI music.
 
Los Soldados: Soldiers of the Royal Presidio of Santa Barbara - This is the official home of Los Soldados, a reenactment group dedicated to portraying the Spanish Soldados de Cuera at the Presidio of Santa Barbara. Very extensive, lots of information.
 
Mission San Luis Apalachee - This site talks about the early capitol of La Florida from 1656 to 1704. They are in the process of developing a living history program. Another place for our East Coast soldados e amigos.
 
Original drawings of 1720 Soldados de Cuera - Want to see the real stuff? Well, the Palace of the Governors in Santa Fe, NM has the Segasser Hide Paintings on display. This is the only place on the web where I've found any representations of these important 1720 drawings.
 
Primer Batallón Ligero de Voluntarios de Aragón - This is the home page of one of the few reenacting groups in Spain, and therefore a rare site. Napoleonic era, with pictures from the Museum of the Army in Madrid of extreme interest to Spanish Colonial reenactors.
 
Rancho de Las Golondrinas - The Ranch of the Swallows, a Spanish Colonial living history museum in Santa Fe, New Mexico. Soldados (1820 or so) and Colonial civilians can be seen in the pictures.
 
Soldados listserver on Yahoo! Groups - This is a discussion listserv, with historians, reenactors and illustrators as members. There are also pictures and articles to download, as well as an event calendar.
 
Spanish Colonial Troops in Canada - This article, by René Chartrand, contains detailed information on the 1st Company of Catalonian Volunteers, stationed in Nootka, Alaska, along with uniform descriptions and paintings by David Rickman.
 
Spanish Quarter - St Augustine - Interactive guide to the living history musuem behind the tourista exterior of San Augustin, with text and photos of the buildings and people of the Village, the Government House museum, and the military a hospital.
 
The New World Baroque Orchestra - Musica, maestro! The NWBO offers a program of historical music, song and dance of the colonial missions, presidios and outposts of Spanish-California and the frontier regions of New Spain. The music performed is carefully transcribed and edited from rare manuscripts and is performed on authentic replicas of original 18th century instruments.
