AASS Mobile Robotics Lab - Research lab on autonomous robotics at the University of Orebro, Sweden.

AI Laboratory VUB Brussels - Researchers at the AL Lab, VUB Brussels have over time built a large number of artificial systems to investigate aspects of intelligence: knowledge systems, autonomous robots, machine learning systems, natural language processing components, design and implementation tools. Currently, the laboratory focuses on two research themes: origins of language and robotic agents.

ART2000 - Azzurra RoboCup Team - A joint effort by 7 Italian Universities for participation in the F2000 Robocup competition.

ATAS Aerial Robotics - The Aerial Robotics Integrated Product Team in the Aerospace, Transportation and Advanced Systems Laboratory is developing aerial robots and advanced flight behaviors.

Advanced Autonomy for Rovers (NASA) - This project aims to advance the state of the art in ground operations and onboard autonomy for flight rovers. This NASA initative is investigating the complex problems of autonomy in adverse environments.

Artificial Muscle Research Institute - The goal of the institute is to develop, design, fabricate, test, and commercialize electrically and chemically controlled artificial muscles.

Artificial Perception Group - The group research is focused on the paradigm of sensing, representation and knowledge organization for decision making in complex and uncertain domains, dealing with the design and implementation of reactive/cognitive architectures.

Autonomous Systems at GMD - Research groups at the Autonomous Systems group at GMD, Germany, cover Adaptive Systems, Cognitive Robotics, Design Automation for Digital Systems, Innovative Application Design, Responsive Systems and Security Policies for Autonomous Systems.

Bilkent University-Robotics & Sensing Laboratory - Based in Turkey, work centres around sensing, including the fusion of odometry, gyroscopic, laser and sonar data to mobile robots.

Boston University Aerospace and Mechanical Engineering - Includes the Intelligent Mechatronics Laboratory, and the High Precision Manipulation and Control (HPMC) Laboratory.

Brown CS - Robotics - The robotics group at Brown University's Computer Science Department. Projects include Rai and Ramona (a PC-based mobile robot) with pictures and movies of robots in action.

CSIRO Mining Automation - Research into the issues relating to automation of mining. Projects include automated digital terrain mapping, undersea exploration and mining, and rapid roadway development. Based in Australia.

Central Research and Development Institute for Robotics and Technical Cybernetics - The homepage for the Central R&D Institute for Robotics and Technical Cybernetics at St. Petersburg, Russia.

Centre for Artificial Intelligence and Robotics - List of publications, events, history, staff directory, contact information, mission statement & overview.

Computer Vision and Robotics Lab @ ICS-FORTH - The groups' activities centre around omputer vision and autonomous mobile robots with "intelligent" behaviour. This includes visual perception of static and dynamic characteristics of the 3-D world (depth, shape, color, motion), object tracking, robot navigation and behaviour modelling. The group is also interested in the exploitation of machine learning techniques in robotics.

Control Laboratory at the Delft University of Technology - he main goal of the Control Laboratory is to develop methods and tools to control complex nonlinear dynamic systems in order to improve their performance.

Cornell Robotics and Vision Laboratory - The Cornell Computer Science Robotics and Vision Laboratory is located at Cornell University in Ithaca, N.Y. Three main areas of research are carried out at CSRVL: Computer Vision, Multimedia applications of Computer Vision, and Robotics, including distributed manipulation and micro-electro mechanical systems.

Distributed Rovers (NASA) - This NASA/JPL research project investigates the complex challenges surrounding distributed rovers, small basic agents interoperating to create emergent intelligent behaviour. Such systems can cope well in adverse situations, being composed of relatively cheap robotic devices working in unison, capable of recovering from partial failure.

Division of Robotics, Lund University - Research and education in robotics including modeling, simulation and programming. Field of applications include industrial robotics and service robotics, such as robots for rehabilitation and disabled. Industrial robotics include a systems view of design of manufacturing systems.
