Nominal Roster of the 13th Tennessee Cavalry, U.S. Army 1863- 1865 - The 13th Tennessee Cavalry was formed based on authority granted by Major General Ambrose E. Burnside. It was mustered into Federal service at Strawberry Plains, Knox County, Tennessee between October 28 and November 8, 1863.
 
The 7th Tennessee Cavalry, Company D - This unit was reactivated in 1986 with a goal to present an accurate and honorable portrayal of the Civil War cavalry from the western theatre, and in particular, the Confederate cavalry troopers who served under General Nathan Bedford Forrest.
