Royal Institution Mathematics Masterclasses - The Royal Institution holds flagship series of Mathematics Masterclasses in the Autumn and Spring terms of each year. The Masterclasses consist of entertaining lectures on mathematically orientated subjects. This is combined with working in small groups of students, with help being on hand if needed. The initial criteria for attending one of these series is an aptitude in Maths and a keenness to explore the subject. The classes are primarily for year 9 students who are recommended by their teachers.
